Support FAQs

"And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.  Now all glory to God our Father forever and ever! Amen."
~Philippians 4:19-20 (New Living Translation)

As we prepare to serve in Lyon, we are building our support team.  We cannot serve alone.  God has called each of us to join in His call to reach all people.  Some will pray.  Some will give of their resources.  Some will go.  We are excited to go; we just need others to join our team to pray & give.

We would love to have the opportunity to speak with you in greater detail about how you can join the team.  Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about our ministry to Lyon and the support team building process.

Listed here are a few practical ways you can help as a team member:
  • Commit to pray for our ministry
  • Become a monthly or yearly financial supporter
  • Give a special monetary gift to help with start-up, travel and relocation costs
  • Host an “Awareness Event” in your home

Frequently Asked Questions for donors of EFCA ReachGlobal:

How does one support the Dahlgrens? Simply send in a check payable to the EFCA with the Support Team Commitment Card below. You can easily make monthly donations through an Electronic Fund Transfer from your account by filling out the Authorization Agreement below and include a voided check.

When should one start sending in contributions? As soon as you are able. Monthly support will accumulate and be applied to a missionary’s start-up expenses, travel, salary, rent, medical aid plan, language study or ministry expenses. Funds can also be sent for vehicles and other ministry projects. The EFCA does not send pledge reminders.

Does one receive a receipt for his/her donation? Each time a donation is made, we will send a receipt, a return form, and envelope for making another donation. Receipts will be sent within a week of receiving the contribution. If you do not receive a receipt, include a note stating designations and requesting a duplicate receipt with your next donation.

What is the cutoff date to receive gifts at the end of the year to use as a tax deduction? All checks for donations must be dated and postmarked on or before December 31st to receive a receipt which can be used in the current tax year. Checks which are dated or postmarked in January will be dated as received in January.

Will a summary statement of Year-To-Date contributions be sent? To keep costs to a minimum, year-end statements are not automatically sent; however, a year-end statement of giving can be sent upon request. Each receipt shows a year-to-date total of giving for the current year.

The receipt/return form was not correct. What should be done? Mistakes occasionally happen and donor services would like to make sure the donation has been handled properly. Please look over each receipt for accuracy. If there is an error, please indicate it in a letter or on the return form with the next contribution. The item will be corrected and a new receipt will be issued.

Contributions to EFCA ReachGlobal become the direct property of the EFCA and distribution is at the discretion of the national office.
